Welcome to URL Unicorn. By accessing or using our website, services, or applications (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Snapit Software ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Terrell Flautt, located in SnapIT Software LLC, Austin, TX 78615, USA.
2. Description of Service
URL Unicorn provides URL shortening, link management, analytics, and QR code generation services. Our Service allows you to:
- Create shortened URLs with custom aliases
- Track link clicks with detailed analytics
- Generate QR codes for your short links
- Use custom domains for branded links
- Set link expiration and scheduling
- Build UTM parameters for campaign tracking
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
3. User Accounts and Registration
To access certain features of the Service, you may need to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

- Create short links to malware, phishing sites, or illegal content
- Distribute spam or unsolicited communications
- Create misleading or deceptive short links
- Mask links to content that violates third-party terms of service
- Link to child exploitation or abuse material
- Engage in click fraud or abuse the analytics system
- Circumvent security measures or rate limits
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Resell the Service without authorization
Note: We actively monitor for abuse. Violation of our acceptable use policy may result in immediate link deactivation and account termination without refund.
5. Payment Terms
For paid subscription plans:
- Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your complete payment card information.
- Subscription Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on your selected plan.
- Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Price Changes: We may change our prices with 30 days notice. Existing subscriptions will honor current pricing until renewal.
- Refunds: We offer a 30-day refund policy for annual subscriptions. Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time but are non-refundable for the current billing period.
- Link Persistence: Upon subscription cancellation, links created during your subscription will continue to work, but you will lose access to analytics and management features.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Snapit Software and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without express written permission. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used without our prior written consent.
7. User Content and Data
You retain ownership of:
- Original URLs you shorten
- Custom aliases and link configurations
- Analytics data generated by your links
- Custom domain configurations
By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely for providing the Service. We collect anonymized, aggregated click statistics to improve our Service.
You are responsible for ensuring all destination URLs comply with applicable laws and these Terms.
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but provide the Service on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.
- Free Tier: No service level agreement (SLA) is provided. Link redirects are best-effort.
- Paid Tiers: We make commercially reasonable efforts to maintain fast redirect times (under 100ms). Enterprise plans may include specific SLA terms.
We are not liable for any downtime that may affect link functionality or analytics collection.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND
- WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
- WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSSES DUE TO LINK FAILURES OR REDIRECT ISSUES
- OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
- Your short links may be deactivated
- We may delete your account and associated data after 30 days
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account settings.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by:
- Posting the updated Terms on our website
- Updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page
- Sending email notification for significant changes (for registered users)
Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
